Keep It Casual!

”Gosh! I don’t have clothes to wear”.

Every girls story. The day begins with this line. Doesn’t it?

No matter how much we love dressing up and spending half of our time in the morning looking out for the best clothes in our wardrobe, we always prefer casual dressing over the formal once. A casual look is something we can put together easily, specially on a lazy day. We’re living in a golden era of comfy dressing, every lazy girl’s style paradise. I could live in casual clothes all the time. The best part is the comfort and ease to carry it.

For work, I prefer going for some smart casual look. By smart casual, I mean, wearing any one staple from the wardrobe that is formal, for example, pencil skirt/ formal trouser or a formal shirt, and pairing it with either a casual top or denim jeans.

Going all casual in these looks, I have styled 3 outfits for everyday wear.

Look 1

Hello, cold shoulders!!!
Trends pop up just when you’ve completely forgotten they ever existed. While cold shoulder hit it big in the previous year, this coming season’s take on the trend is a little more dramatic, with structured sleeves or cutouts adding just the right amount of appeal to the look. From strapless blouses to one-shouldered dresses and cut-out pieces, there are plenty of ways to rock this trend.
The cold shoulder look is a great way of revealing some skin without showing too much. It looks feminine and flattering too.
In this look, I wore a green cold shoulder frill  top and paired it with my favourite pair of ripped denim jeans. I added a pair of peach oxfords with a rose gold front.
For accessorising, I added on a green and off white neckpiece that complemented the blouse. I picked up a grey sling bag, Mini sling bags are here to stay.
Sunglasses protect your eyes from the scorching heat during this season. It is a must to carry a good pair of  sunglasses while stepping out of the house. By good, I mean a pair that not only adds style to your look but also protect your eyes from the harmful radiations. A look is incomplete without adding a beautiful watch to it. I wore my gold and silver mix watch to complete the look.
This look is perfect for a weekend brunch or a day out with friends. I am totally obsessed with this style. Wear the cold shoulder trend your way and make a unique style statement. Go ahead girls and enjoy your cold shoulders!!

Go bold!
I decided to go bold with bright colours this season. It’s winter but seems like summer here in Goa. Bright colours make you look lively and fresh.
To beat the heat, I prefer wearing something flowy and breezy. In this look, I decided to wear a wrap around skirt with hand block printed design all over. I’m totally feeling the maxi t-shirt trend going on strong for a quite some time now. I added a yellow side slit maxi tee with a turtle neck. I carried a cute mini red sling bag with a gold chain belt.
Statement earrings trend is huge in 2016. The more graphic and structured, the better it is. Reach for abstract shapes in bright colours, and wear them with your favourite cocktail/maxi dress. I picked up a pair of yellow statement earrings to complement the t-shirt.
Eye-catching statement shoes are everything when it comes to footwear this season. Wear it with a basic tee and denim jeans and let the shoes do the talking. I wore a pair of black and gold brogue to complete the whole look.

Maxi dresses are this season’s go-to dress for parties, weekends, college or work. Not only are they an illustration of effortlessly chic style, but they also work for both day and night.
These dresses can be worn with blazers to add a formal look or denim jackets for a casual day outlook, or it can be layered with t-shirts/shirts underneath for an old school fashion look.
In this look, I decided to wear a cotton printed maxi dress which is super cool and breezy. Beating the scorching heat, this dress is perfect for a day out with friends or family.
For accessorising I decided to go with neutral colours. I paired gold canvas shoes with perforated design over it. For the bag, I picked up a powder pink fringed sling bag with beautiful gold handle. I combined a white neckpiece with drop down beads, which added a bit of bohemian vibe to the whole look. Lastly, I wore my favourite watch with gold and silver detailing.
This look can take you from college to a lunch date. A perfect outfit to keep you stylish yet very comfortable throughout the day. So girls slip into your maxis and pair it up with your favourite pair of shoes/sneakers and you are ready to rock the simple yet very classy look. Don’t forget to add your unique style statement every time you dress up.
