Maxi skirt is a classic, and there are a lot of trendy versions out there: flair, high-low hem, side slits and much more! These skirts are great for elongating legs and look flattering when worn with heels or wedges underneath. While maxi skirts have proven themselves to be a classic item, many of this season’s hottest options incorporate trends like tie & dye or asymmetrical hems.
Tie & Dye Maxi Skirt
To achieve a fully on-trend look without looking too overdone, I decided to pair my plain black t-shirt with a blue tie and dye maxi skirt. Tie and dye clothing are so much in trend right now. They are often so colourful and bold that matching accessories with them can be a difficult task. I am wearing a navy blue tie and die skirt, which looks quite subtle. To highlight the look, I decided to go for a bold statement silver neckpiece.
While wearing statements neckpieces there are few things to keep in mind-
- Wear a simple top or a dress, to let your statement necklace stand out. Make sure the neckline is simple as well, that won’t distract from the jewellery.
- Don’t overdo with other jewellery. The best way is to wear either small stud earrings or no earrings at all, so the necklace will be in focus.
For the footwear, I decided to go with silver strap flats. You can also wear heels for a more sophisticated look. To complete the look, I added on an artic blue sling bag and I was ready to go. This look is perfect for an outing with friends or a lunch date.
